For over 70 years, Koshin has continued to invest in the testing and development of new products. Koshin completely redesigned its production facilities in 2013 adding in-house aluminum die casting, production automation and state-of-the-art process flow management. With a core philosophy of customer satisfaction, Koshin ensures that every product in its production line is of the best quality. This is why we can proudly say that the performances specified in this catalog are guaranteed to be minimum. This is often not the case with our competitors, who inflate actual performance values.

To further assure our valued customers that Koshin stands behind our products, we offer a 3-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. Our pumps are used and loved in 160 countries around the world.

Koshin… the toughest pump in the world.

In 1924 Raymond E. DeWalt created the company in his name, in the town of Leola (Pennsylvania), in the United States. The purpose of creating the company was to manufacture and sell his invention: the radial saw.

The company grew rapidly and was reorganized and reintegrated in 1947 under the name DeWalt Inc. After purchasing the company in 1949, American Machine & Foundry Co., Inc experienced significant growth and was purchased in 1960 by the Black and Decker company.

Black & Decker transferred the radial saw from the manufacturing branch in 1989 and sold it to two executives. Radial arm saws that use the original DeWalt design can still be obtained from the Original Saw Co.

In 1992, Black & Decker launched a major effort to rebrand its professional-grade, high-end power tools to benefit DeWalt. In 1994, DeWalt took over the German manufacturer of work power tools, ELU. DeWalt has expanded its tool line using ELU technology. As of 2001, DeWalt manufactures and sells more than 200 different power tools and 800 accessories.

In 2004, Black and Decker purchased Porter-Cable, its direct competitor, and merged its activities with those of DeWalt in Jackson, Tennessee.

In 2011, DeWalt introduced a very broad line of hand tools (including utility knives, pliers, adjustable wrenches, tape measures, saws and hammers). In 2013, the line was expanded to include mechanics tools (wrenches, ratchets and sockets).

As of 2015, DeWalt has seven manufacturing plants for DeWalt-branded products in the United States: New Britain, CT, Hampstead, MD, Shelbyville, KY, Greenfield, IN, Cheraw, SC, Charlotte, and Jackson, TN.
